Liverpool developer Legacie has held a topping out ceremony for its £200m Liverpool residential scheme, The Gateway.

Work is well advanced on The Gateway which was first announced in August 2023. It will comprise 656 apartments and will offer a selection of one, two and three-bedroom homes.

Located on Leeds Street, on the edge of the city centre, the scheme comprises four towers connected by a landscaped seventh-floor skybridge – the first of its kind in the city. It has been designed by architects at Falconer Chester Hall.

Attending the topping out ceremony was Liverpool City Region Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram and Steve Reed, Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

The Gateway will feature a double-height Garden Spa, a jacuzzi experience pool, steam room, infrared sauna, cryotherapy and oxygen chambers, flotation tanks, and aromatherapy showers. There will also be a private gym and relaxation spaces.
