Founded in Liverpool in 2017 by husband-and-wife team Brian Noon and Lauren Cannon, In-House Legal Solutions provides outsourced legal services and has taken on new staff. Tony McDonough reports

A specialist legal services firm has relocated to larger premises in Liverpool as it adds a number of new people to its team.

In-House Legal Solutions is moving out of its base in Baltic Triangle, where it has been since its launch in 2017. The business is moving to a 1,045 sq ft space at Tempest at 12 Tithebarn Street in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district.

It has welcomed senior lawyer, Susanne MacPherson, who brings 20 years’ in-house legal experience. She is joined by paralegals Laura Keane, Arshi Ratansi and Frederick Timmins while the firm’s latest trainee, Sam Chadwick, also started his training contract this month.

Headed by husband-and-wife team Brian Noon and Lauren Cannon, In-House Legal Solutions provides outsourced legal functions to medium to large companies that don’t have their own in-house legal teams.

Brian and Lauren had previously worked in London for international and ‘Magic Circle’ law firms respectively. The firm also provides fixed fee contract negotiation services with particular expertise in financial services.

“Relocating to Liverpool’s central business district is the next stage in the development of the firm,” said Brian. “Our new offices provide a fantastic working environment for our fast-growing team. 

“To provide our clients with the very highest levels of service, we are continually investing in our people through training and development. We believe this is best achieved through an in-person, office-based approach.”

In-House Legal Solutions focuses on growing its team by the recruitment of law graduates as paralegals who are trained in how to approach legal work as an in-house lawyer, and then promoted through the ranks.

Lauren added: “Unlike other alternative legal service providers, our strategy is based on training lawyers, to be true ‘in-house’ business partners to clients. We bring our own experiences to create unique career paths for lawyers wanting to work in commercial, corporate and banking areas, by coaching, mentoring and supervising them first-hand.”

Since its launch, In-House Legal Solutions has built a client base which includes a number of large and well renowned pension funds, investment banks, investment funds, and professional advisors based not only in the UK but across the world including in Australia, Canada, and the US.
