Live music on the river as Mersey Ferries unveils its summer cruise programme
A host of the region’s talented artists will be performing throughout the summer and starting the season this Saturday is newcomer Lucy Mayhew, a singer and songwriter from the Wirral. Tony McDonough reports
Mersey Ferries has released details of its programme of Summer Evening Cruises which will be taking place during weekends for the first time and will feature live music.
A host of the region’s talented artists will be performing throughout the summer and starting the season is newcomer Lucy Mayhew, a singer and songwriter from the Wirral.
The two-hour evening cruises, which depart from Seacombe at 7.30pm and at 7.40pm from Pier Head, Liverpool, are priced at £14.95 per person and include a full-licensed bar.
Alongside the evening cruises, Mersey Ferries will also host to a series of special cruises, including Beatles Tribute Cruises, The Making of Motown tribute cruise and a viewing cruise for the Tall Ships, which come to the River Mersey on May 28.
The Summer Evening Cruise dates and artists are now confirmed for the 2018 season and will be:

- Saturday, June 16 – Callum Mac
- Saturday, June 30 – Keith Thompson
- Friday, July 6 – The Poor Boys
- Sunday, July 29 – Callum Mac
- Saturday, August 4 – The Poor Boys
- Saturday, August 18 – Natalie Collins
- Friday, August 31 – Xebra
- Friday, September 7 – Xebra
- Saturday, September 15 – Natalie Collins
- Friday, September 28 – The Poor Boy
