Liverpool tech firm Qbunk has signed a deal with the organisers of the Reminisce Festival in St Helens to provide the electronic payment system and Wi-Fi.
In September the “old skool” music festival will return to Sherdley Park for its eighth year. Qbunk will provide its “seamless” bar ordering experience. It will deliver new Apple till systems and complete IT operations alongside Connectus.
Its system will operate across the six-big top arenas, VIP experience and all bars. It will cater for an estimated 20,000 revellers. Qbunk has invested £180,000 into new technologies. This will also mitigate the risks of Wi-Fi connectivity drop out during the event.

Paul Wilson, director of Qbunk, said: “I was an 051 regular back in the day, dancing away to the Scouse house in my Moschino shirt and Armani pants. Working with Steve, Lee, and their team in the build-up is a great honour personally.”
With three systems in place to provide connectivity, Qbunk’s work will begin at the festival entrance. It will provide a free Wi-Fi connection signal for customers downloading tickets, preventing queuing bottlenecks and allowing super fast and seamless entry.
Steve Cocky, co-founder of Reminisce Festival, added: “We are really pleased to be working with Qbunk. Their expertise will enable us to avoid some of the issues we had last year. We’re excited to be able to provide everyone at the festival with a VIP Wi-Fi service, which will also ensure the smooth running of our systems and tech.”
Qbunk will also be providing additional technical support to ensure staff members on site are able to deal with any issues that may arise. Founded in 2014, Reminisce Festival has grown from a local event welcoming 3,000 music lovers, to a festival that is now known around the globe.
