Liverpool lawyers advise on UK-US deal

Lawyers at the Liverpool office GAD Commercial Solicitors and Abrams Law advise on a merger between software businesses Soutron UK and Soutron US

Liverpool-based lawyers have advised on a deal that saw software businesses Soutron UK and Soutron US merge to form Soutron Global.

The Liverpool office of GAD Commercial Solicitors and Abrams Law, a UK-based US law practice, advised the founders of Soutron UK, specialists in digital library, archive and knowledge management software, on the transaction.

Soutron Global partners with special libraries, archives, and information centres around the globe to transition them to digital technologies with innovative, flexible and easy-to-use solutions. Bloom Equity Partners backed the deal for an undisclosed sum.

The Soutron knowledge system also includes Discovery, an advanced search platform that can quickly and efficiently present information from thousands of data sources in an easy-to-navigate format.

Jonathan Abrams, director at GAD Commercial, who is also the principal US attorney at Abrams Law, advised Soutron’s founder and managing director Graham Beastall on the US-UK cross-border transaction.
