Liverpool One launches digital city guide
In parthership with Liverpool’s business improvement district, the city’s commercial and retail centre will launch two apps to promote local shopping, leisure, and entertainment.
The apps will not just promote shopping experiences, but also restaurants and other cultural venues across the city region.
These digital guides, entitled “Liverpool One” and “ThIS Liverpool” offer a mobile information service for tourists and Liverpool visitors, as well as promoting money-saving offers and discounts.
Liverpool One has partnered with the Liverpool Business Improvement District (BID) Company in order to produce these new services which will show-off the best on offer in Liverpool city centre, including Bold Street and Water Street, as well as Metquarter, Clayton Square, Queen Square, St Johns and Cavern Walks shopping centres.
The Liverpool One app will feature maps and directions for all the major retail areas in Liverpool, while also operating as a platform to encourage sign-ups to MyONE, Liverpool One’s loyalty scheme.
ThIS Liverpool app, designed by award-winning local company Apposing, will provide exclusive offers aimed at city centre workers, students, and members of the general public.
Donna Howitt, marketing director at Liverpool One, said:
“We wanted to create an app for Liverpool One which was more than just a guide but instead gave people access to exclusive offers and discounts which cannot be found anywhere else.
“Users can plan their trip to Liverpool One in advance by using the ‘My Day’ feature within the app and keep up to date with cinema listings, special offers and discounts. Our app perfectly complements the This Liverpool app and together they offer a brilliant and user-friendly guide to everything that’s going on in the city centre.”
The launch of the app is timely as many retailers across the city gear up for the upcoming Christmas season.
