Liverpool beauty entrepreneur Ashley Wady is to see her first skincare product sold online by Harvey Nichols and in three branches of New York retailer Flying Solo.

For the past decade, Ashley an ‘advanced aesthetician’ from Allerton, has worked for some of the world’s biggest beauty brands including L’Oréal, pharmaceutical company GSK and Aestheticare.

However, during the first COVID-19 lockdown she was made redundant, an event she described as “devastating”. However, she decided to put her many years of experience to good use and set about developing her own skincare product.

The result of her efforts is BOSSFACE, a lightweight, water-based gel that increases the skin’s hydration. Ashley says the product is suitable for all skin types, tones and concerns and claims it creates a “younger, fresher appearance”.

Now it will be sold on two online platforms runs by upmarket retailer Harvey Nichols – Skinforia and Harvey Nichols Marketplace – as well as in three Flying Solo stores in New York, including one on Broadway. There is also the possibility of BOSSFACE eventually being stocked at the Harvey Nichols flagship store in Knightsbridge in London.

It’s remarkable progress for a product that was only launched on November 16. Ashley said: “When I was made redundant during the first lockdown, I was devastated but I decided to channel my experience and knowledge into launching my own product.

“I never could have imagined that within a few weeks BOSSFACE would be available to purchase from Skinforia hosted by Harvey Nichols and HN Marketplace.

“I’ve also just been confirmed as a resident skincare specialist at BeyondMedispa located in Harvey Nichols’ Knightsbridge store where I’ll be visiting every month from January 2021 to deliver advanced skin procedures and specialist treatments.

“Adding Flying Solo to the mix – a NYC Broadway stockist which has three different stores in New York – it’s like a dream come true. I’ve been working in the beauty and pharmaceuticals industry for 10 years and all of my knowledge has been poured into this product and I can’t wait for more people to try it and fall in love with it as much as I have.”

Ashley added that BOSSFACE is a “cosmeceutical” – a cross between a cosmetic and pharmaceutical product. She also says it is safe for pregnant women to use.
