Liverpool’s historic Queen Avenue welcomed hundreds of visitors to its first-ever Christmas market.

The picturesque Victorian arcade played host to a variety of guest local traders alongside pop-up stalls from the many independent businesses that already call it home.

Visitors were able to sample an eclectic range of items from fine wines and spirits and original local artwork to beauty treatments and artisan pizza, all under a canopy of fairy lights and festive decorations.

Kelly McNair, communities manager at Bruntwood, said: “Our inaugural Christmas market was a big hit with the hundreds of people who visited us throughout the evening.

There was a wonderful buzz along the avenue and we must thank all the independent traders who came together to help create a really special occasion.”
