A leading UK logistics specialist is to more than double the size of its depot at the Port of Liverpool in a multi-million pound investment.
Maritime Transport, which operates across the UK, will see the size of its transport depot at Seaforth increase from four acres to 10. It will create a new storage yard for loaded containers, significantly enhancing its operation in the North West.
Construction will start in April and will include a new transport depot, with new offices as well as driver facilities. The new storage yard accompanying the enlarged premises will offer a wide range of loaded container handling and storage capacity.
It will enable optimum storage for up to 2,000 TEU (shipping containers). New Sany reach stackers, which have been ordered in the last few weeks, will be arriving on site in time for the project completion in November 2022.
