Mangobean offering free coffee to commuters on Monday as Lime Street work begins
Mangobean and St Johns have teamed up with Arriva Angels, the company’s in-situ engagement team, to give out free coffee vouchers to commuters this coming Monday, June 4
Rail commuters who use Liverpool’s Lime Street Station face weeks of disruption from this weekend as Network Rail begins remodelling and rebuilding platforms.
However, on the first Monday of the works, June 4, one nearby coffee shop will be offering a free caffeine boost.
Although some services will still run form the station many passengers will have to catch rail replacement buses and, between 8am and 9am on Monday morning, staff from Mangobean in St Johns Shopping Centre will be giving out free coffee vouchers.
Mangobean and St Johns have teamed up with Arriva Angels, the company’s in-situ engagement team, to launch to free coffee initiative.
Neil Ashcroft, St Johns Centre manager, added: “We knew lots of train passengers would be dreading Monday morning because they couldn’t take their usual journey and, as Lime Street is our neighbour, we wanted to help.
“Mangobean answered the SOS with the offer of free coffee vouchers, so even if they have to spend a little longer getting to work, it might not seem quite so bad.”
Lisa Pearson, head of marketing for Arriva NW & Wales, added: “We know Monday mornings can be a bit of a challenge at the best of times so we’re hoping our feelgood start to a new week, with St Johns Shopping Centre and Mangobean Coffee, will help to put a smile on people’s faces and kickstart their day the right way.”
The Lime Street disruption is scheduled to continue until July 29. Click here for more information.
