One of Wirral’s newest venues is offering what it claims will be a fantastic view when the Giants come to New Brighton this Friday (October 5).

The Giants will be returning to Merseyside for the third and final time this weekend and will be crossing the Mersey to Wirral for the first time.

Royal de Luxe, the world’s leading street theatre company, wowed the city in 2012 and 2014 when it brought its spectacular show to the city. Founder and artistic director of Royal de Luxe, Jean Luc Courcoult, said: “We love Liverpool and can’t wait to return.”

And to celebrate the visit of the giants to New Brighton, Marine Street Social will be putting on a big celebration as the one of the Giants is set to wake up right in front of the venue by the lighthouse at Fort Perch Rock.

As many local children will be enjoying a day off school, Marine Street Social will be open from 8am until late and throwing on a day of family entertainment, including balloon sculptures and face-painting, as well as delicious food and drink.

After waking up at 11.15am, the Giant will walk along Marine Promenade, onto Coastal Drive and towards Kings Parade to enjoy a siesta at approx 1pm. At 3pm the Giant wakes from his afternoon nap at The Dips, before heading back along Kings Parade, Marine Promenade, south along Tower Promenade and finishing at Magazines Promenade at approx 5.15pm.

Carl Thomas, director, Marine Street Social, said: “It’s absolutely fantastic that the Giants are coming back, especially as they will visit Wirral this time around. It’s great for New Brighton and the businesses here to be part of this unique moment.

“The town will be buzzing, and we guarantee our guests front row seats to all the action, an unbeatable atmosphere, and great food, drink and entertainment thrown into the mix.”
