Max Steinberg champions success of Diversity and Inclusion conference
The Diversity and Inclusion conference was recently held in Liverpool as part of the International Festival for Business 2014 and IFB chairman Max Steinberg has championed the successful event.
Entrepreneurs, government agencies and universities were amongst those who attended the conference to discuss the social benefits of diversity and inclusion, as well as imparting their own knowledge an experience.
Max Steinberg said:
“Diversity and inclusion has become a business imperative in today’s global economy and it is incumbent upon all of us to ensure we promote the benefits of building diverse organisations that reflect the changing face of the communities we operate in.
“The fact that such a conference was hosted in Liverpool is particularly important to us as it places the spotlight firmly on Liverpool City Region’s credentials as a world class inclusive city.”
Garth Dallas (pictured), chief executive of Global Diversity Partner, organisers of the conference, added that without an appreciation of the “importance of diversity and inclusion, businesses will not be able to maximise the opportunities that are being created”.
Prior to the event Dallas had said the conference was Liverpool’s chance “address some underlying issues and progress in order to become a truly integrated workplace”.
