Mersey agency Umami wins Savage deal to help people ‘navigate the pomp and bullshit’ of wine
Savage Vines is a new venture from Raul Diaz – Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch wine expert – and its aim is to combine a convenient wine delivery service with a ‘rebellious spirit’
Liverpool marketing agency Umami has secured a deal to oversee the branding, digital marketing and creative marketing for new wine delivery service, Savage Vines.
Savage Vines, a new venture from Raul Diaz – Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch wine expert – is aiming to combine a convenient wine delivery service with the “rebellious spirit” that helped Brewdog become such a force in the craft beer industry.
Subscribers to Savage Vines get three bottles of wine delivered to their home or workplace every month.
It’s for people who want great wine who don’t necessarily have the time – or the inclination – to educate themselves in the more technical aspects of wine tasting.
The brand’s founder hopes the service will help people “navigate the pomp and bullshit” of the wine industry.
Umami, founded by Edward Ridding, specialises in providing design and marketing services to the hospitality industry.
Mr Diaz said: “We’re proud to have appointed Umami to handle the wide-ranging creative brief for our start-up.
“The agency really gets who we are, what we’re doing, and we’re confident that with their help we’ll hit our year-one goals.”
Mr Ridding added: “Umami has extended its expertise in bars and restaurants to Savage Vines, a brilliant subscription service targeting young professionals.”
