Established in 1989 in Liverpool, PSL was a small independent company with its first contract outside the UK in Ireland in 1990. But the true international journey started in 1992 with their first contract coming from Singapore.

PSL operate now from 7 overseas offices and count more than 15 partners around the world. PSL is today an independent SME who lives and breathes its international relationships. PSL’s team of multi-national professionals sustains a culture that values engineering innovation and excellence. With a growing team of 62 employees in December 2014 coming from different countries, PSL understand international markets and is able to provide suitable solutions to its worldwide customer base.

PSL’s employees are very proud to have received four major industry awards this year, recognizing their continuous efforts in different categories throughout the world.

With a record turnover in 2014, PSL now export to more than 24 countries worldwide and accelerated its international expansion with the appointment of new partners, agents or distributors around the globe. All of these efforts were recognised in 2014 through 4 major awards:

Winner of Best Pharma Production Technology Provider at the 2014 Asian Manufacturing Awards, winner of Best Manufacturing Business of the Year at the 2014 E3 Business Awards, winner of Character/Ethics Longevity Award at the BBB 2014 Torch Awards in Idaho USA, and winner of the International Company of the Year at the 2014 Insider International Trade Awards ceremony.

PSL is looking towards the future of the business by increasing their workforce with high profile new staff member to join their Liverpool base.

PSL relocated to a purpose built engineering and manufacturing base in 2000 within the International Business Park of Liverpool. This new facility is ideally located closed to the John Lennon Airport, M62 motorway and the vibrant city centre of Liverpool. 25 years ago, the founders of PSL chose Liverpool for its promising business development and international culture, and they are thrilled to have grown the Merseyside-born business in to the global SME it is today.

In Liverpool, the company houses its engineering base with employees from apprentices to senior managers involved in the design and manufacturing of advanced process solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. Procurement, accounts, business development and marketing are also located in the same premises. PSL in-house electrical and mechanical technicians and engineers assemble, test and ship high technology solutions to all four corners of the globe.

Every year, PSL employs new apprentices to keep building a strong expertise within its business and some managers today started 15 years ago as apprentices.

PSL is proud to be Investors in People certified for many years in a row. Yearly appraisal and training opportunities are given to each staff member to keep the staff up-to-date with new technologies and Good Manufacturing Practices.

With a growing order book and a faster international expansion, PSL is looking to strengthen its team with qualified profiles from Project Managers to Mechanical, Control or Process Engineers to support administrative and accountability staff.

PSL celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2014 by holding a Global Summit followed by an evening dinner for staff with long service awards presented by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Cllr. Erika Kemp.
