Bodyline, which has been trading for 15 years, underwent a management buyout in 2017 led by managing director Sally-Ann Tuner and backed by MSIF. Tony McDonough reports
Merseyside weight loss and wellness clinic chain Bodyline Clinic has opened its eighth North West clinic.
The company, which has been trading for 15 years and has dealt with more than 25,000 customers, underwent a management buyout in 2017 led by managing director Sally-Ann Tuner and backed by Liverpool loan and equity provider MSIF.
It latest clinic is based in the Fingerpost Shopping Centre in St Helens from where it will offer various forms of prescription and non-invasive medical weight loss treatments.
A key issue for medical weight loss sector is the online market, where unlicensed and potentially harmful products are widely available. The Bodyline Clinic wants to increase their awareness by encouraging safe purchases and safe distribution of medicinal weight loss for all shapes, sizes and gender.
All Bodyline clinics, including the newly-opened St Helens facility, are CQC registered and licensed by the Home Office.
Ms Turner said “I am thrilled about the opening of our eighth clinic. We have made a conscious effort to expand the Bodyline brand, not just through location but to ensure we are at the forefront of medical slimming with innovative, safe and quality products.
“We are leading in the professional prescription field with new treatment, taking responsibility to transform individuals’ quality of life.”
Marion Savill, portfolio director at MSIF, said “The Bodyline Clinic has a solid reputation for providing an excellent service for their customers. They have worked hard to build and continue a service which is responsible and safe.
“It is great to see the growth they have achieved and I am proud to have been part of the MBO plan supported by MSIF. I have enjoyed working closely with Sally since the buy-out and I am happy to have helped achieve their expansion goals.”
