You can submit questions to North West Metro Mayors Steve Rotheram and Andy Burnham ahead of a free IoD webinar later this week following their tumultuous few weeks in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis

Metro Mayors Steve Rotheram and Andy Burnham have found themselves on a collision course with the Government in recent weeks over the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Representing Liverpool City Region and Greater Manchester respectively, Mr Rotheram and Mr Burnham both stood their ground over COVID lockdowns and the amount of financial support on offer for businesses.

This Friday, November 13, both mayors will take part in a free-to-access online webinar organised by IoD North West. The event, taking place between 9am and 10.30am will see the pair face questions from IoD Liverpool chair, David Wafer of McIver Scott Recruitment.

David said: “Both Steve and Andy stood up for our region during what has been a tumultuous period as cases of COVID-19 went up significantly and businesses across the North West continued to battle for survival.

“It is said a week is a long time in politics, the last few weeks have been a rollercoaster, impacting the lives of nearly everyone in the North West. The two people tasked with that negotiation will join us to discuss the recent challenges and what influence we can have as a region moving forward.”
