A familiar family duo will guest next month to host the Merseyside Independent Business (MIB) Awards hosted by Morecrofts.

Radio Merseyside DJ Roger Phillips will be joined on stage for the first time by his daughter and fellow broadcaster, Ellie Phillips.

It is something dad and daughter have wanted to do for some time, Ellie said:

“The Morecrofts team have filled an important gap in terms of awards, and I’m incredibly excited to be part of it this year.

“I can’t thank the team enough for the opportunity, and for providing a platform for me and my dad to finally work together, something we have talked about for some time.”

Roger said they are both looking forward to working together.

The venue for the second annual MIB Awards has already been selected with The Titanic Hotel and Rum Warehouse opening its doors to attendees for a black tie gala dinner on October 2.

Morecrofts managing partner Alison Lobb said:

“We feel confident that the evening will be inclusive and mutually enjoyed by the generations of business owners in the room.”
