MSB staff to host ILEX Summer BBQ at Liverpool One Bridewell

Two solicitors from Liverpool-based firm MSB are organising a summer soiree on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, which will be held at Liverpool One Bridewell later this month. The event will also serve as part of continued efforts to raise funds for MSBs nominated charity, the James Bulger Memorial Trust.

The team at MSB say businesses and individuals are invited to be part of a summer social and barbecue, as an opportunity to eat, drink and make new contacts, whilst supporting a very worthy cause.

The James Bulger Memorial Trust provide free holidays and respite to families and young people who need it most. Their overall objective is to support young people who are disadvantaged by bereavement, a victim of hate crime, hatred or bullying or who care for a parent or sibling or have helped their school or community with an act of kindness.

MSB pledged their support to the charity in September last year and have worked closely with Denise and Stuart Fergus and the charity’s ambassadors since to help maximise their fundraising efforts. Danielle Blaylock, who is organising the event, jumped out of a plane last summer with colleague Rebecca Brown, raising money for the charity as part of an organised skydive.

Danielle said:

“The James Bulger Memorial Trust is a charity that is close to the hearts of many, and I was personally very keen to support them as much as I could during our time working together.

“As a firm, MSB tries to organise events regularly to stay in touch with our clients, partners and the wider business community; so it seemed like a obvious idea to use the summer social as an opportunity to raise additional funds. If we can use these social gatherings to further contribute towards the important work that they do, then I’ll be really pleased.

“I’d encourage everyone to come along – this is not an ‘invite-only event’, it is very much the more the merrier and the more money we can raise. We already have a number of businesses registered to attend, so it’s going to be a great opportunity to network too and looks set to be just a really great evening all around.”

The CILEX Summer BBQ is from 6pm on Friday, 24th July. Tickets cost £10 and entitle you to food from the BBQ  and one drink from the bar. There will also be a charity raffle on the evening, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs.
