Law firm Weightmans promotes 12 people to partner and 10 to legal director including a number at its Liverpool headquarters

Liverpool law firm Weightmans has announced the promotion of 22 people to partner and legal director positions.

Based in Old Hall Street in Liverpool city centre, Weightmans is a top 45 UK law firm, employing more than 1,300 people. It also has offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leicester, Newcastle and London. 

It has promoted 12 new partners from May 1 across five offices. They are:

• Richard Briggs – healthcare – Birmingham
• Jenny Byfield – finance – Liverpool
• Josh Conroy – litigation – Manchester
• Tania Derrett-Smith – family – Birmingham
• Seray Kitchingham – corporate/commercial – London
• Nick Newman – employment – Leeds
• Ian Pace – employment – Manchester
• Dan Rutherford – police – London
• Jeff Turton – motor – Liverpool
• Richard Vaughan – property – Birmingham
• Matthew Wilson – litigation – Liverpool
• Victoria Wright – casualty – Liverpool

The 10 legal directors, also promoted from May 1, are based across four of Weightmans offices. They are:

• Jill Dalkin – litigation – Newcastle
• Wendy Fox – large loss – Liverpool
• Cath Hendy – corporate – Manchester
• Sarah Knight – regulatory – Birmingham
• Jessica Kraja – litigation – Manchester
• Lisa Spencer – healthcare – Manchester
• Maryam Storr – healthcare – Birmingham
• Tony Sullivan – large loss – Liverpool
• Lisa Watson – disease – Birmingham
• Joanne Williams – litigation – Manchester
