Murphy’s Town Hall Tavern to host Blooming Great Tea Party

Murphy’s Town Hall Tavern hosted a “Blooming Great Tea Party” today to raise funds for Marie Curie UK.

The newly established venue, located on Wavertree High Street, opened its doors for the event between 12pm – 3pm.

Conor O’Donovan, Managing Director of Murphy’s Town Hall Tavern, encouraged guests to come along for the day to enjoy tasty treats and afternoon tea in honour of a good cause.

As an annual Marie Curie event that is celebrated nationwide, the “Blooming Great Tea Party” was established in 2008 and is the charity’s second biggest annual fundraising campaign. The idea is for local businesses and members of the public to host their own unique renditions of Afternoon Tea to help gather vital funds, which enable the charity to continue to deliver expert support and guidance to those living with a terminal illness. Last year the tea parties collectively raised £667,000 across the country.

Alongside the Grade II Listed building’s 50 seat restaurant and 45 seat bar, Murphy’s Town Hall Tavern also offers a large scale events space that caters for more than 100 people, ideal for occasions such as weddings, corporate functions and public events.
