London-based wealth management business Evelyn Partners acquires boutique firm Millen Capital in deal that adds to its already established Liverpool office. Tony McDonough reports

National wealth management firm Evelyn Partners has acquired Liverpool-based Millen Capital, which was founded by Angus Millen almost 25 years ago.

Evelyn is a London-based business that already has an office in Liverpool at the Royal Liver Building, formerly branded as Tilney. This deal, for an undisclosed sum, will see five Millen team members transfer to Evelyn, including Angus Millen himself.

He will be joined by chartered wealth managers Gareth Lyttle and Vicki Harper along with administrators Linda O’Neill and Ruby Leigh.

Millen Capital was established by Angus in 1999 to provide a wealth management service to professionals and business owners. 

Evelyn Partners, which was created from the merger of Tilney and Smith & Williamson in 2020, has roots in Liverpool with Tilney having been founded in Liverpool in 1836.
