Redsun Projects has secured a major letting at Knowsley Business Park, with SP Energy Networks taking occupation of its Hub50 facility to support its regional operations. Tony McDonough reports
Developer Redsun Projects, who completed work on the site in June last year, have announced electricity network operator SP Energy Networks as the latest occupier at Hub50 – a 50,000 sq ft industrial building at Knowsley Business Park.
Strategically located off South Boundary Road, Hub50 was speculatively developed by Redsun on a three-acre site acquired from Knowsley Borough Council.
It is the latest in a string of developments in the borough that comprises the regeneration of Prescot town centre and plans for a major residential scheme in Knowsley Village that could create up to 700 new homes.
The letting demonstrates continued demand for high-quality, energy-efficient industrial space in what Redsun says is one of the city region’s key employment locations.
SP Energy Networks is completing the final fit-out ahead of occupation, following initial internal works undertaken by Redsun.
The deal also marks the successful conclusion of Redsun’s wider development partnership with Knowsley Borough Council.

Designed to meet the operational and sustainability requirements of modern industrial occupiers, Hub50 has achieved a BREEAM Very Good certification and an EPC A rating.
