“With so many plans for the expansion of The Essential Journal into new and exciting territories over the next 12 months and with new clients coming on weekly for Singleton Publishing, it’s a very exciting time to join the team.”
Laura, 31, from Chester, trained in Fashion Journalism at the London College of Fashion (University of the Arts London) before working for several high profile publications and stylists in both London. Laura retrained as a news journalist and broadcaster in the North West, which lead her to work with NWN Media and BBC, where she covered high profile cases, held a weekly fashion column and travelled to Afghanistan with the British Army.
Armed with a wealth of writing experience and contacts, Laura ventured into consumer PR, working with both large and independent clients both from the region, and nationally, including Liverpool ONE, Titanic Hotel Liverpool, Muse Developments and Unilever.
Headed by brothers Richard and Tom Singleton, The Essential Journal is now into its 12th issue, which features cover star George Clooney and clients such as Rolex, Jaguar Hatfield and Camp and Furnace. After just 18 months, Singleton Publishing now have plans to expand The Essential Journal into Manchester later this month, and Edinburgh, Birmingham and London soon after.
