Construction sector data specialist Causeway Technologies is opening a new base at the 25,000 sq ft Hythe office scheme in Wirral Waters, creating 20 jobs.
Causeway will employ people in technology sales roles at the site, close to the Wirral waterfront. It follows the business securing £120m of investment to further develop its software products which are targeted at the construction industry.
Hythe was completed at the end of 2021 and offers 25,000 sq ft of grade A office space aimed at SMEs. Hythe was built by Peel L&P and was backed by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as well as securing £8.5m from Merseyside Pension Fund.
Modular housing provider Starship Group was the first tenant at Hythe, relocating its 20-strong head office team to the site in March 2022.
Causeway’s new office was officially opened by British hockey star Sam Quek. The gold medal-winning Olympian cut the ribbon alongside Phil Brown, Causeway’s chief executive, and Trevor Steven, Everton FC’s legendary midfielder.
Leisa Docherty, chief people officer at Causeway, said: “As Causeway’s sales hub and centre of excellence in the north, the new office at Wirral Waters provides a great place to work with excellent facilities for our growing team.
“The space has been designed to reflect its history as being home to the former Seacombe Smalt Works, established in the early 19th century, with a nod to the local region.
“We’re excited to continue creating jobs and building our talent pipeline in Merseyside.
Richard Mawdsley, director of development for Wirral Waters at Peel L&P, added: “Hythe really is appealing to exciting and innovative businesses that see sustainability and technology as core parts of their growth strategy.”
