New Manchester bar and restaurant reveals crafty interior design courtesy of DV8 designs

A leading North West architecture and interior design practice has revealed its creative direction of a new Manchester-based bar and kitchen, The Crafty Pig.

Assigned by the prestigious Enterprise Inns, DV8 Designs was responsible for the quirky overhaul of the Northern Quarter’s newest addition.

MD Lee Birchall and his team at DV8 carried out a series of architectural and interior developments, in order to create an original design that plays homage to the venue’s sister brand, The Blind Pig.

Lee said:

“The objective was to produce a welcoming urban hub that echoes the attributes of The Blind Pig, whilst adding in signature characteristics to make the new site stand out from the crowd.”

“After drawing up inspiration surrounding graffiti artwork from across the globe – we enlisted the help of the award winning local artist/illustrator Ben Tallon to incorporate street style into the design. To reflect the industrial feel throughout the venue, we used earthy colour palates combined with a multitude of distressed decorative elements.”

In order to withstand the longevity of the collaboration, Lee hopes to continue impressing the highly renowned pub company by creatively, mirroring the proposed brief.

Lee added:

“We are extremely grateful to have been invited by Enterprise Inns to develop proposals for a series of eclectic projects. As every design is unique and personal, we are very much looking forward to coming up with a range of creative strategies that will bring ideas to life.”

DV8 Designs, which was established in 2006, has attained high acclaim through its impressive and diverse portfolio that includes residential, bars, pubs, restaurants, hotels, leisure centres, swimming pools, spas, golf clubs and offices.
