Nugent Care recognises its brightest stars in Dignity In Care staff awards ceremony
Nearly 200 people gathered at the Liverpool Marriott Hotel on Friday 3rd July for the Nugent Care Dignity In Care Awards, a night which recognises staff, volunteers and supporters within the organisation who have gone above and beyond in their role.
Now in its third year and sponsored by Lynbrook, Unison and Excello Law, the awards acknowledge the commitment and dedication of staff for the outstanding care they provide for people using Nugent Care’s services.
As well as recognising employees for their hard work, there were awards for supporters of the 134 year old charity, including Business Team Fundraiser category winners Carringtons Catering and the Individual Fundraiser award went to Kate Loftus, a Chaplain at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic College and City Learning Centre, Widnes.
Employee recognition included a Volunteer Award, Overall Nugent Care Award and the biggest acknowledgement Champion of Champions Award, which was won by Helen Burgess, who has been with Nugent Care for 10 years and manages the charity’s adult services.
Chief Executive Kathleen Pitt said:
“The awards are the pinnacle of all the work our teams do all year round to ensure the people we care for receive the best possible care, whether it’s in our care homes, schools or as part of one of our many community services.
“Acknowledging those who have gone above and beyond means we are constantly recognising the dedication and loyalty of our people.”
