Centre owner Wirral Chamber of Commerce oversaw a a £1m refurbishment programme starting in 2015 and the latest sign-ups means the facility is now close to full capacity. Tony McDonough reports
Six new tenants have signed up for space at Birkenhead’s Pacific Road Business Hub and the facility is now approaching full capacity.
Sterling Shipping Agencies, ZNC, BodyTime, Punch Technology, Owen Drew Luxury Candles and The Johnson Foundation and they were welcomed with a special reception organised by centre owner Wirral Chamber of Commerce.
Having undergone a £1m refurbishment programme starting in 2015, Pacific Road close to the waterfront has become a popular location for a diverse range of businesses, attracted by the flexible office suites, hot-desking its Sheds initiative.
Speaking at the event, attended by more than 150 guests from Wirral’s business community, chamber chief executive Paula Basnett said: “We are very pleased to welcome the new investments into Pacific Road. They now join 13 other business enterprises.
“The success and the opportunities at Pacific Road has clearly been recognised within business circles due to its excellent transport links, innovative design, flexible floor space, competitive rents and an on-site bistro facility.”
The new tenants work across a range of sectors:
- Sterling Shipping Agencies offers links between international ship owners, oil companies and docks along the Mersey and Manchester Ship Canal.
- Specialist custom PC builder, Punch Technology, supplies creative customers such as photographers, graphic designers, videographers and gamers.
- Set up by Park Group founder, Peter Johnson, The Johnson Foundation has supported national and regional charities for 31 years involved in health, education and in relieving poverty.
- ZNC is a well-established digital lead generation agency, connecting businesses across the English-speaking world with potential customers through branding, web design, PPC advertising, SEO, email promotion and social media.
- BodyTime offers sensitive and intuitive therapeutic massage treatments using traditional and innovative methods including Localised Cryotherapy and Cryo No Hands massage.
- Founded by Drew Cockton in 2016, award-winning Owen Drew Luxury Candles continues to grow with products now stocked internationally and nationwide.
