Peel Waters has revealed images of the interior of its £130m Miller’s Quay residential development at Wirral Waters with the scheme close to completion.

In March LBN reported property agents are to begin marketing the first 150 homes in the dockside project. It comprises 500 one and two-bedroom apartments, 100 of which will be classed as ‘affordable’.

To be classed as affordable a home has to be offered for rent at no more than 80% of local market rates. Miller’s Quay is a rental-only scheme.

In January 2002 Peel Waters announced that institutional investor Pension Insurance Corporation (PIC) was funding the Miller’s Quay scheme. Wirral Council is also a partner on the Build-to-Rent development.

Now Peel Waters has appointed property firm JLL as marketing, lettings and management agent for the scheme which has been built by construction firm GRAHAM. It offered employment for local people and training for Wirral Met College students.

Apartments are expected to be released in two phases, with phase one, the first 150 new homes, due to open in the summer of 2024. Phase two, the final 350 new homes, will be ready in early 2025.

Richard Mawdsley, director of development at Peel Waters, said: “We are excited to reveal these first internal images of our apartments at Miller’s Quay, where we are creating a vibrant, healthy and inclusive place for this thriving new community.

“We are looking forward to phase one hitting the market this summer.”
