Set up in Liverpool last year, Provenio is a litigation practice that specialises in high value business disputes and investigations and has signed a deal with F-LEX. Tony McDonough reports

Liverpool law firm Provenio has entered into a ‘lawyer on demand’ agreement with online legal platform F-LEX.

Set up last year by a team of senior litigation lawyers who worked together at legal giant DLA Piper in Liverpool, Provenio is a litigation practice that specialises in high value business disputes and investigations.

This latest deal will see F-LEX provide experienced paralegals to work on the document management aspects the firm’s high value, complex cases. Provenio’s cases often require  the management of large volumes of electronic documents.

In September Provenio announced it had set up a £50m no-win, no-fee fund to finance its high-value business litigation work. It has set up the fund in partnership with global litigation funder, Therium.

Its agreement with F-FLEX will mirror similar arrangements the on-demand lawyer platform has in place with ‘Magic Circle’ law firms. Mark Goodwin, managing partner at Provenio, said: “Clients quite rightly are demanding an efficient and cost-effective approach to document management on cases while maintaining the quality and integrity of the disclosure process.

“Having worked with a number of suppliers over the last few years, we are confident F-LEX are ‘best in class’ and complement our high-quality business litigation services.”

Provenio also been ranked in the top tier by this year’s Legal 500 (Commercial Litigation: Liverpool) where it is for praised for “attracting high-quality, high-value commercial litigation in a very short period of time”. The Legal 500 adds that Provenio are “true specialists with years of experience” and “seem set for future success”.
