RCMA Group’s Cotton Division trebles size of Liverpool office with Exchange Court move
One of the world’s newest and fastest growing cotton trading businesses has significantly expanded its Liverpool office by relocating to Exchange Court.
RCMA Group’s Cotton Division, which has a presence in Singapore, Vietnam, China, London and the United States, has secured a 2,500 sq ft office at the Bruntwood-owned building.
The move sees the firm more than treble the size of its existing Liverpool office at the Cotton Exchange, which is also owned by Bruntwood.
The company expanded in January 2016 when Singapore-based commodities trader RCMA Asia Pte Ltd (which was formerly known as Tong Teik Pte Ltd), part of the RCMA Group, purchased the cotton trading arm of Plexus Cotton and combined the two businesses.
Andy Mitchell, Operations Manager at the RCMA Group’s Cotton Division, said:
“We have already seen significant growth in the first six months of the newly-formed business and this, in tandem with the expansion of our team, meant it quickly became necessary to increase our office space.
“Exchange Court provides us with an excellent base in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district and we were delighted to renew our ties with Bruntwood as we seek a platform to consolidate and expand our market share in the coming years.”
Matt Lee, head of sales at Bruntwood, said:
“The RCMA Group has been a customer of ours for several years and it has been great to watch the business grow at such an impressive rate and ultimately acquire the trading business of Plexus Cotton to form part of the Cotton Division at the RCMA Group.
“This is a business with a global outlook and an international footprint and it’s testament to the offer at Exchange Court that they have chosen to remain a Bruntwood customer and expand with us.”
