Regenda Group acquires Liverpool training provider Alder
Liverpool city centre-based Regenda says Alder will retain its own branding and work within the organisation and alongside its other subsidiaries. Tony McDonough reports
Social housing provider Regenda Group has acquired a Liverpool-based training provider – Alder Training.
City centre-based Regenda says Alder will retain its own branding and work within the organisation and alongside its other subsidiaries.
Founded in 1993, Alder Training specialises in training the health sector workforce – offering NVQ training and apprenticeships in health & social care, dental nursing, childcare and customer service as well as literacy and numeracy qualifications.
The deal is part Regenda’s wider strategy to diversify into new sectors, while delivering growth for the group.
It says Alder will contribute towards delivering its vision for sustainable regeneration in its neighbourhoods, through improving the life chances of individuals, families and communities.
Michael Birkett, chief executive of the Regenda Group, said: “Both organisations share the same values and believe that access to high quality skills, training and employability support is key to developing people and communities, along with enhancing the economy of the region.
“As a forward-thinking business, we are committed to delivering regeneration across the North West and have expanded our group to be increasingly effective in improving our communities and the life chances of our residents.
“By bringing a successful regional training provider into the group, we can deliver these aims in new ways and tap into a wealth of specialist knowledge.
As part of the deal, the existing directors at Alder Training will remain within the business.
