Vincent Cafe & Cocktail Bar in Liverpool’s business district has appointed a new head chef to lead its kitchen and sushi bar.

Daniel Simpson’s arrival at the Exchange Flags outlet will see him working with owner Paul Adams for the second time. He was part of the team at the renowned Warehouse Brasserie that counted Jude Law, David Beckham and Samuel L Jackson among its diners.

Following his time at Warehouse, Southport-born Mr Simpson went to work in London for two years at the Michelin-starred Chez Bruce restaurant.

To his appointment as head chef and to celebrate entering its fourth year trading, the Vincent is launching its first ‘Celebration Evening’ made up of a four-course dinner with pairing wines, a DJ and entertainment for £50 per person.

Mr Simpson said: “It’s great to be back in Liverpool and working with Paul again. I am very excited to get stuck into this role and add my own touch to the already delicious menu.

“I’m really passionate about seasonal produce so I will be adding those ingredients and adapting the menu gradually throughout the year to reflect this.”

Mr Adams added: “Daniel and I worked together at the very popular Warehouse restaurant so it’s great to have him back. We make a great team and I’m really excited to see him head up the kitchen at Vincent and put his own stamp on the menu.”
