Everton legend Joe Royle and newly appointed director of football Steve Walsh have helped to launch the new season of The Everton Business Club at the iconic city waterfront’s The Venue.

More than 100 Evertonians joined the pair along with the Club’s CEO Robert Elstone at the event space and conference hall inside the Royal Liver Building.

The Blues Chief Executive welcomed the guests to the event and spoke about the vision for the future of the Club, the loyalty of the workforce at Everton and the importance of investing in your employees.

Steve Walsh and Joe Royle then went onto discuss the recruitment process within the football industry and how scouting has evolved over the years, especially within the Premier League.

With the Everton Business Club kicking-off for the 2016/17 season, the Club has pledged to offer supporters the chance to network with fellow fans and leading organisations from the across the region throughout the year, providing local companies and individuals the opportunity to mix their love of football with commerce.

Club legend Joe Royle said after the event:

“What a great night and how fantastic it was to see so many Blues’ turn out for the Business Club event.

“I wasn’t sure what to expect from the night but what a great way for Evertonians to come together, I know Steve really enjoyed himself too and he received a really warm welcome from everyone in attendance.”

The Venue comes fully equipped with atmospheric lighting, a PA system for speeches, reception and dining furniture and a state of the art kitchen.

Situated on the first floor of the Royal Liver Building, The Venue offers stunning panoramic views of the River Mersey and can accommodate a wide range of events, from parties, dinners, conferences and product launches to fashion shows and photo shoots.
