Sefton Park Palm House to host special afternoon tea this Mother’s Day

Sefton Park Palm House is preparing to spoil hundreds of special ladies this Mother’s Day with an exclusive Afternoon Tea.

On Sunday, March 15, mums, grans and aunts will descend on the popular Victorian glasshouse for an afternoon filled with tea, treats and tipples.

In association with The Yacht Club, the “quintessentially British! occasion will allow guests to relax and unwind whilst enjoying an impressive “Afternoon Tea experience with a twist”.

Director of the Palm House Moira Leonard said:

“Mother’s Day is all about spoiling the important women in your life, and is therefore the perfect excuse for an afternoon filled with sheer indulgence.

“To offer something a little more luxurious this Mother’s Day, we have joined forces with the team at The Yacht Club to provide our visitors with light bites that certainly have the wow factor.”

Throughout the 1pm and 3pm sittings, guests will be treated to an assortment of open sandwiches served on artisan breads, followed by a selection of homemade savouries including pork and apricot sausage rolls, croque monsieur, Mediterranean and vegetable halloumi parcels and smoked salmon and duck egg tarts with panko breadcrumb crisp.

Various desserts will then be served including handcrafted macaroons, homemade scones with a dollop of thick clotted cream, fresh mini cupcakes, sweet palmier and a chocolate delice. Accompanying the Afternoon Tea will be Joe Black locally roasted Coffee and selection of teas, as well as a glass of champagne for those opting for High Tea.

The Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea will take place at Sefton Park Palm House on Sunday, March 15 during 1pm and 3pm sittings. High Tea (inc. champagne) is priced at £35 and Afternoon Tea is £29.
