Sefton Park Palm House unveils schedule of festive events
Kick-starting with a free winter concert on Sunday, December 2, the Palm House will play host to various other festive-themed musicals, merry tea dances and jovial parties throughout the month
Sefton Park Palm House is to transform into a “magical winter wonderland” this December, with no less than 25 festive events set to take place inside the historic Grade II-listed historic glass house.
Kick-starting with a free winter concert on Sunday, December 2, the Palm House will play host to various other festive-themed musicals, merry tea dances and jovial parties throughout the month.
The Palm House will be screening a host of Christmas classic film favourites from Tuesday 18 to Friday 21 with Nightmare Before Christmas, Die Hard and Scrooge just three of the iconic films being shown under the stars.
Recognising the venue’s proud history and continued commitment to lifelong learning and community engagement, Sefton Park Palm House’s festive programme also includes a number of arts and crafts sessions suitable for all ages, with Garland making workshops and children’s Christmas chocolate parties two dates that simply can’t be missed.
Roy Boardman, director of Sefton Park Palm House Preservation Trust, said: “Our spectacular festive programme has been designed to engage and capture the imagination of all ages; and with a number of free events on offer.
“It’s also a fantastic opportunity for the local community to come together inside Sefton Park Palm House for a seasonal celebration.
“Sefton Park Palm House Preservation Trust is a charity that cares about the local area and its residents, every paid event over the festive period will also directly contribute to our on-going community outreach programmes and life-long learning plans for 2019.”
Showcasing its diversity as a venue, the Palm House’s Active Bingo sessions, Hit and Run comedy night and Christmas sing-a-long in December, are just three other events that are available to book now online.
