Liverpool based Signature Living is to recruit 100 new apprentices over the next three months as the company undergoes a massive expansion.
Positions across construction, administration, hospitality and leisure services will be available as the company steps up work on the new Shankly hotel development and the transformation of Bootle’s Daniel House into high-spec student accommodation.
The developer, which was responsible for the restoration of Liverpool’s Grade II listed 30 James Street, turning it into a luxury hotel and wedding venue, is investing £1 million into the scheme. The new apprentices will be based at Signature Living’s new Millennium House headquarters and other city centre locations and will also support the company’s expansion in to other UK cities including Glasgow and Manchester.
Signature Living’s Managing Director, David Hughes, said:
“The continued growth of Signature Living means that we are in a strong position to offer these apprenticeship opportunities. We are creating roles across construction, accounting and finance, administration, event management, food and beverage, digital and sales. We know that Liverpool has a great pool of young talent so I am confident that we’ll be able to recruit a fantastic team of new employees who want a great career at a great company.
“We have already started the recruitment process working with local colleges but there are still many more roles to fill. By the end of July we will have created 100 apprentices in 100 days.”
Councillor Nick Small, Cabinet Member for Employment and Skills, welcomed Signature Living’s jobs plan.
He said:
“Signature Living is a great example of a thriving Liverpool business. The company should be proud of their investment in young people and support to give them a chance at learning new skills and getting a foot on the careers ladder.”
