Less than a year after the signature of an innovative agreement, Liverpool-based work and travel company Smaller Earth has seen applications double from Liverpool John Moores University.
The partnership, formed in 2015, was designed to foster co-operation and enable a two-way simplified selection and application process for students and young people wishing to take part in programmes, including Camp Leaders, Au Pair in the USA, Europe, China and New Zealand.
Dr Edward Harcourt, Pro Vice Chancellor at Liverpool John Moore University and Bastian Weinberger, CEO of Smaller Earth signed a memorandum of understanding to provide a user-friendly framework for students and have since helped more than 120 through the application process.
Dr Harcourt commented:
“Smaller Earth is our choice partner for work and travel abroad programmes, and the agreement has strengthened our existing links. We have been actively seeking to help students acquire all the information they need to make their choices on programmes abroad and prepare for their experiences.”
Bastian Weinberger of Smaller Earth has been delighted by the response:
“Our programmes are an excellent chance for anyone under 30 to gain valuable international experience. Partnerships are vital to our success; the results are thanks to the hard work of everyone involved and confirm the growing interest in our portfolio.”
