Sofa Club will open its first store in Liverpool this weekend and create 10 jobs as part of its UK expansion strategy.
Founded in Hertfordshire in 2012 by Louis Rose and Tom O’Neill, Sofa Club’s range of sofas have become popular with celebrities including rappers Stormzy and Aitch and TV personalities Stacey Solomon and Sam Thompson.
On Saturday, July 20, Sofa Club will open its first store in Liverpool and the second in the North West after the Trafford Centre in Manchester. It claims it will bring “a new lease of life to the city’s interior scene”.
It claims to offer “the biggest selection of affordable luxury sofas, in every shape and colour, like you’ve never seen them before”. It also promises shipping in just 24 hours.

Tom O’Neill said: “When choosing the fifth store in our growing list of locations, we knew Liverpool was the right place to be.
“The new store is more than just a bricks-and-mortar retail location for us; it is our largest showroom and will showcase every single one of the sofas we have to offer at Sofa Club.”
This outlet is located at Unit 1, Speke Hall Road in south Liverpool, a building previously occupied by Taskers. It will offer the first customers through the door this weekend 10% off all purchases. There was also free prosecco, a DJ, music and balloons.
