Dental Excellence, a private dental clinic situated in the heart of Mossley Hill, says it has taken on a cosmetic dentist to cope with a growing client base.

The full-time position was made available after an exceptional start to 2015.

The practice, which specializes in restorative dentistry and cosmetic smile makeovers, says the new dentist will work with existing clients like players and staff from Liverpool Football Club. The team, headed by Dr Robert Hughes, a principal dentist who has won numerous awards for excellence in oral surgery and pediatric dentistry, believe the promising start is testament to clients experiencing a personal service each time they visit.

Based on Brodie Avenue in Mossley Hill, dentistry has been practiced at the premises for approximately 100 years. However, following an extensive refurbishment in 2006, it was transformed and rebranded as Dental Excellence. The clinic prides itself on being relaxed and stress free, making it a relaxing environment. It was appointed the LFC dentist after the club admired Dr. Hughes’ vast experience of working nationally in NHS clinics.

Meanwhile, the latest addition to the team, Dr. Craig Dewdney, is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and provides patients with solutions to improve their smile. He has also worked for the NHS specializing in oral surgery and restorative dentistry.

The University of Liverpool graduate, who partnered pioneering dental laser treatment last year, is delighted to be part of the growing Dental Excellence team.

He said:

“It’s great to be working with such a talented group of individuals. Robbie has a fantastic relationship with every client – which I hope I will be able to replicate. I’m looking forward to working in a relaxed environment.”

And Dr. Hughes welcomes the newest addition, saying it will “ease the pressure” on current staff and ensure each client receives the ‘highest standard of care’.

He added:

“The fact that we have recruited a cosmetic specialist shows just how far the business has come. We have had a strong start to the year and having an additional staff member working full-time will make it easier for the team.

We have built up a reputation for offering a personal service, so having an extra dentist on board will ensure this continues.”
