Merseyside affordable housing builder and provider The Sovini Group is seeking sub-contractors to work on the construction of 1,000 new homes. Tony McDonough reports
Affordable housing builder and provider The Sovini Group is appealing for sub-contractors to help it build 1,000 new homes in the next five years.
Bootle-based Sovini owns and manages more than 13,000 homes. These are mainly in the Liverpool city region and the North West. It also has a number of sites in Derbyshire and the South East.
Over the next five years it plans to build another 1,000 affordable homes. In early July it will hold a meet-the-buyer event open to skilled sub-contractors across various trades, from bricklayers and joiners to groundworkers. The event takes place at The Suites Hotel, Knowsley from 9am to 11.30am on Thursday, July 7.
Managing director of Sovini Construction, Steve Parrington, said: “Sovini Construction is a thriving construction company with a strong pipeline of work.

“This means we have a great deal of opportunities to offer local businesses. We want to meet sub-contractors that share our values and can help us deliver affordable and quality new build homes.”
During the event, sub-contractors can kick-start the process of joining The Sovini Group’s supply chain. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the group’s wider supply chain. The event is for sub-contractors only seeking work across the North West.
Sovini Construction forms part of The Sovini Group. The property development firm has an end-to-end service across the property and construction supply chain.
