Specialist data firm to set up Northern UK base at Sci-Tech Daresbury

G3G provides SAP consultancy which is a highly technical service focusing on how companies can better manage their software and technology and may employ up to 50 people in Cheshire. Tony McDonough reports

A specialist data analytics company headquartered in Surrey is setting up a major base in Liverpool city region.

G3G provides SAP consultancy which is a highly technical service focusing on how companies can better manage the software and technology they use for finance, supply chain and customer engagement.

The firm has chosen Sci-Tech Daresbury’s Techspace Two building for its Northern UK base and may eventually employ up to 50 people at the facility.

G3G started in 1999 by providing SAP consultancy services across Europe, growing into an international brand now part of theGroupElephant.com group that employs more than 2,000 people across 22 countries.

Chris Gunter, G3G’s chief executive, said: “Sci-Tech Daresbury is an exceptional location for G3G in many different ways. The campus offers excellent facilities and encourages people to gather together having fostered a genuine culture of collaboration and networking. 

“Additionally, Techspace Two is a building that says ‘this is the future’ and very much reflects G3G’s own ethos and growth plans. Sci-Tech Daresbury feels like the Silicon Valley of the North West because of the quality and excellence of its tenant companies and the ambition and vision of the joint venture partners.

“We intend to grow our northern base rapidly and the campus enjoys a large recruitment area as well as superb connectivity across the North West and into North Wales.”

Sci-Tech Daresbury is a private-public joint-venture partnership between developer Langtree, the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) and Halton Council.

John Downes, group managing director of Langtree and board member of the Sci-Tech Daresbury joint venture company, said: “Having a company like G3G with its global footprint expanding its operations to Sci-Tech Daresbury marks a great success for the first quarter of this year.
