Liverpool law firm Pilkington Shaw has acquired Southport-based rival, Bromiley Holcroft.

The Pilkington Shaw team is a market leader for handling cavity wall insulation claims, recently winning a five-figure settlement for a client in Bristol.

It has recently relocated its teams to offices in Liverpool city centre.

Bromiley Holcroft, which trades as Magnus Legal, was established in 1988 and offers a full range of legal services with clients throughout the UK.

Mike Pilkington, director of Pilkington Shaw, said: “This year promises to be an exciting one for Pilkington Shaw.

“Our office move and the acquisition of Bromiley Holcroft will help us connect with clients both in the North West and across the country.”

Pilkington Shaw specialises in business and personal litigation and employs 20 staff from its head office within Castle Chambers in Castle Street.

Mr Pilkington added: “We recently won a major CWI settlement for a client in the South West and we hope to strengthen and expand our operations in this field going forward.”
