Very and Studio Mashbo reignite the console wars

Very.co.uk, brand imprint of the internet retailer Shop Direct, has commissioned an online campaign from Liverpool’s Studio Mashbo, with the digital agency asking consumers and gamers alike “Which console are you?”

This campaign marks the first time Very has used a full-screen experience in a campaign that has been designed specifically to showcase the powers and unique differences between Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4.

Gavin Sherratt, managing director of Studio Mashbo, said:

“Working along side Very.co.uk has allowed us to work with two massive global brands – Microsoft and Sony – whilst also continuing our relationship with Shop Direct, following our previous project, the ‘Periodic Table of Ladies Dresses’.

“Whilst planing the project we were pleased that Shop Direct allowed us to break away from their traditional online framework and go full screen.”

The full-screen experience takes the form of an interactive infographic aimed at attracting a new audience to Very.co.uk, giving visitors an insight into the individual features and benefits of each console, as well as background information relating to the history of each device.

This campaign marks the first of a number of new concepts that Studio Mashbo will deliver throughout 2015 as part of their ongoing consultancy agreement with Shop Direct.
