Woodlands Hospice in Liverpool is asking people to help raise money for its vital work by taking part in its annual Moonlight Walk
Starting at 9pm on Friday, July 7, the walk begins at Firwood Waterloo Rugby Club and takes in Anthony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ art installation.
Also along the beach path an instructor from Clubbercise Liverpool will offer walkers the opportunity to take part in simple and fun dance fitness routines with glow sticks.
Based in the ground of Fazakerley Hospital, Woodlands provides specialist palliative care for people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, plus a range of support treatments and services for patients and their families.
It needs to raise the equivalent of £2,740 per day to keep its operation going.
The walk has 5k or 10k options participants are encouraged to dress up as much as possible.
Each walker receives a t shirt, a medal, a bacon roll & a hot drink. Register for the walk by clicking here. Cost is normally £15 but enter ‘community’ into the discount code box for a lower price.
