The Interesting Eating Company offers child friendly foodie fun this summer
With the summer holidays underway, The Interesting Eating Company is helping to keep the ‘kids sweet’ with a range of novelty dishes.
Crowned by The Guardian as a top ten family-friendly Liverpool attraction, the popular Allerton Road eatery is hoping to offer ‘days out with a twist’ this summertime, by providing a unique foodie hub for parents with youngsters.
Devised with smaller appetites in mind, The Interesting Eating Company has adapted various signature dishes to enable children to enjoy ‘grown-up style’ food and drink. Menu highlights include Decorate Your Own Pancake, Poached Egg and Soldiers and Babyccino (frothy milk with a dusting of chocolate).
Director of The Interesting Eating Company Nichola Lee said:
“The summer holidays are always a busy and exciting time for us, as our novelty offerings remain a firm favourite with our younger customers. Together with their grown-up meals, children can indulge in a range of sweet treats including our homemade Italian ice cream, milkshakes and cakes. Likewise, we will soon be introducing fun character pancakes that will no doubt go down a treat.
“As well as our child-friendly food offerings, we also host Pancake Parties, which allow children to celebrate special occasions such as birthday’s and christenings by getting creative with food. While little ones make their own culinary wonders and enjoy party games with a disco, mums and dads can relax and unwind with a barista hot drink or two in our ‘secret garden’, which is a real sun trap in the summertime.”
In order to offer something for everyone, including those with food intolerances, The Interesting Eating Company works closely with Coeliac UK to provide an ever-expanding range of gluten-free sweet and savoury variations.
Together with its original South Liverpool venue, The Interesting Eating Company also operates a Liverpool ONE coffee shop located on St Peter’s Lane, situated adjacent to Ted Baker.
Director Andrea Edwards added:
“We recently read a report that stated that the average child complains of being bored 106 times throughout the summer holidays. With that in mind, we like to make sure that there’s always something to keep the kids entertained here at The Interesting Eating Company.
“In addition to our suburban setting, our Liverpool ONE venue is a great pit-stop for summer holiday shopping. If you’re enjoying a day out in the city centre with the kids, we offer the perfect place to rest your feet and enjoy a tasty treat with the whole family.”
