Owned by husband and wife duo Kean and Vikki Teh, the new addition is due to open in July.

Vikki said: “We’re so excited to bring our beloved Tiger Rock Hawker to Liverpool City Centre. Since we opened our first site on the bustling Smithdown Road just one year ago, we have continued to receive fantastic feedback on our unique culinary offering and popular drinks selection, and it’s due to demand that we are opening our new site on North John Street. It feels only natural to take our brand one step further.

“The ethos behind our beloved Tiger Rock Hawker was inspired by our extensive travels across Asia and our passion for fine food, great drinks and a welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to Kean’s impressive career background as a chef, he has worked tirelessly to create a totally unique menu that is innovative and interesting, all the while keeping Asian influences and flavours at its heart.”

The new North John Street venue will stay true to the original site on Smithdown Road, featuring high tables, booths and a green colour scheme.

Unlike the original site, the city centre restaurant will put focus on a spacious bar area where both drinkers and diners can enjoy East Asian delights.

Kean added: “In order to adapt the new venue to its prime location, the plans include a bigger bar area to showcase our eclectic drinks menu, which is currently a firm favourite amongst South Liverpool residents. Whether customers are joining us for dinner or for just a cocktail or two, we can’t wait to welcome both new and familiar faces to our brand-new space.”
