Award-winning business journalist boosts teams at Liverpool city region business news site

Award-winning business journalist Tony McDonough has joined the team at YBnews as a media consultant.

Tony joins head of content Andrew Wright and managing director Jennie Lewis at YB producing business news and features from across the Liverpool city region.

Starting at the Liverpool Star & Merseymart weekly news group in 1992, Tony has all worked for the Liverpool Champion, Channel One Liverpool, City Talk and, for the past 14 years, has been a business reporter for the Liverpool Daily Post and ECHO.

In 2004 he was named Business & Financial Journalist of the Year at the UK Press Gazette awards. He has also been shortlisted twice in the Yorkshire Bank Northern Business Journalism Awards.
