Tranmere Rovers announces Stagecoach partnership

Tranmere Rovers is delighted to announce a new commercial partnership with bus operator Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire.

The agreement, which will run initially until the end of the 2015/16 season, will see Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire become the official “Transport Partner” to Tranmere Rovers.

Jamie Reid, operations manager at Stagecoach’s Birkenhead depot, said:

“We are delighted to be partnering with Tranmere Rovers – this is a fantastic club with a very strong fan base. We’re looking forward to working closely with the club to deliver affordable match day travel and transport links for supporters and explore how we can improve their experience.

“Match day is already a hive of activity without having to worry about how you will get there – we’ve got some great family ticket offers which will enhance the experience and allow people to easily reach the match without the hassle associated with bringing a car. With adult returns (dayriders) from £3.80 and family dayriders from £10, getting to the game has never been easier.”

Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire operates a number of match day routes throughout Liverpool and the Wirral with direct links to Prenton Park. This includes services 38/38A, 471/472, 41/41A/42. Full details and timings for each of these services are available here.

The partnership will see a number of joint ventures and promotions take place over the duration of the agreement. Stagecoach timetables will now be available from the club shop and Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire branding will be erected around the stadium.

To launch the partnership, there are five family tickets (1 adult, 2 children) available to give away for this Saturday’s home game against Dagenham and Redbridge. To enter, all people have to do is follow @StagecoachMCSL on Twitter and retweet their competition tweet. Winners will be selected on Friday.

Commenting on the partnership, Rovers commercial manager, David Broadbent, said:
