Trattoria 51 set to serve up celebratory fish and fizz for Good Friday

Trattoria 51 is set to bring back its much loved ‘Fish & Fizz’ menu for Good Friday.

Famous for its ‘Seafood Specials’, the popular Old Hall Street restaurant will serve an impressive array of fish favourites, ideal for those wanting to avoid meat on March 25.
To add to the merriments, each dish can be complemented by a choice of fizz served at the venue’s very own 51 Prosecco Bar.

General Manager and Co-Owner of Trattoria 51 Toni Karemanaj said:

“With many people choosing to forgo meat on Good Friday, we knew that diners would love to see our popular ‘Fish & Fizz’ menu return once again for the Bank Holiday. Having become renowned for our eclectic seafood offering, Good Friday is the perfect time for our guests to enjoy a signature dish or try out something a little more extravagant, all the while sipping a glass of Prosecco of course!”

To begin their ‘Fish & Fizz’ feast, guests will be treated to a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival before choosing from a selection of seafood starters, which include homemade smoked salmon and mascarpone ravioli served with prawns and dill cream sauce; seared king scallops wrapped in speck ham served with leek puree and Devon white crab meat tortino with avocado, tomato concasse and Mary Rose.
Main dishes include linguine allo scoglio with king prawns, scallop, mussels, calamari, samphire, white wine, garlic, courgettes, chilli and cherry tomatoes; Grigliata di Pesce – selection of grilled fish and shellfish, sea bass fillet, tiger prawn, king scallop, langoustine and swordfish served with grilled vegetables and grilled new potatoes, as well as Scottish lobster alla Busera served with linguine, white wine, garlic, cherry tomatoes and chilli.

Toni added:

“The Easter bank holiday is the perfect occasion to enjoy quality time with family and friends, and what better way to start the weekend than with great food and great company? Whilst our Liverpool venue will be closed on Easter Sunday and Monday, our Southport sister restaurant will be serving up a selection of authentic Italian favourites, which will no doubt go down a treat after a family day out at the promenade.”

The Fish & Fizz menu is available at Trattoria 51 on Friday, March 25. Main courses start from £11.95.
Trattoria 51, located on Old Hall Street, will be closed on Easter Sunday (March 27) and Easter Monday (March 28) while the Southport Promenade restaurant will remain open.
