Old Hall Street Italian dining destination Trattoria 51 has unveiled its brand-new 51 Prosecco & Spritzer Bar.

The downstairs space in the restaurant has been transformed to incorporate a grand leather booth and intimate window seats.

Restaurateur Attilio Sergi said: “As part of ongoing company developments, we want to transition from simply being known as a restaurant, but rather a dining and drinking destination that captures the true essence of Italian food and drink culture.

“We want the people of Liverpool to come and enjoy a delicious meal here at Trattoria 51, but also feel like they can visit us for drinks, whether that be after work with colleagues or during the weekend with family and friends. Our extensive Prosecco variations and cocktails have become synonymous with the brand, which is why we wanted to introduce an exclusive bar setting to showcase our varied tipple assortment – many of which pay homage to our Italian roots.”

Trattoria 51’s new signature spritzer cocktails include 51 Spritz, Apple Spritz, Cosmo Spritz, Summer Time Spritz, Blue Velvet Spritz and Aperol Spritz.

The fully stocked bar also has Prosecco, Champagne, spirits, beers and wines.

Attilio added: “While Prosecco has remained a firm favourite amongst our customers for a number of years, we have recently seen a surge in popularity of the Italian classic ‘Spritz’ cocktails such as Aperol Spritz. With that in mind, we are certain that our new 51 Prosecco & Spritzer Bar will become a huge hit with our guests.

“As well as selecting an assortment of cocktails to complement dishes including seafood, chicken, steak and pasta, we want the vibe of the bar to feel like an exclusive separate entity. Not only does the bar area make for the perfect ‘people watching’ space as it overlooks the fast-paced Commercial District, it leads out to our al fresco seating area, which is a real sun trap on a hot summer’s day – cin cin!”
